Every La Bella Wedding Umbrella is designed with a dual-locking mechanism - a safety feature that prevents accidental release during use.

When you press the button while sliding the runner upward, the umbrella’s spring-loaded system activates the release catch - the very mechanism that’s meant to collapse the umbrella - This means that instead of locking into place, the canopy won’t stay open.

The umbrella may feel stiff initially to push up the cover, and then fall down - but in reality, it’s the release trigger being unintentionally held down.

This design is intentional, a hallmark of premium umbrella engineering, ensuring safety, durability, and longevity.

Our umbrellas feature precision-engineered springs designed to balance flexibility with strength. During long-term storage or shipping, these springs can compress the metal clasp, causing the metal locking pin to become wedged into the wooden shaft.

By lifting the spring and reseating it, you allow the runner to reconnect with the locking clasp, restoring full functionality without damaging any internal parts.

This minor adjustment is the same method used by our quality control team and ensures your umbrella continues to perform beautifully: rain or shine.
